Description
The grunting half-faced soldier who is a cold hard killing machine but with a warm soft heart underneath from Boardwalk Empire, one of my favorite shows.
I'm just a sucker for lush beautiful period set pieces and Boardwalk is non-stop eye candy for me. Though it doesn't exactly rise to the heights of Mad Men or Breaking Bad, I think it's still a little under appreciated. It has many pluses , the grand cinematic shots, the way it manages to tie seemingly disparate story thread into a neat bow in the end of every season, but what shines through is the characters like Richard, Doyle, Van Alden, Chalky, Al Capone, Lucky and Lanksy. They make the best ensemble I've seen since Deadwood and the dialogue is equal too especially when witty characters like Ester, Nucky or Rothstein banter . Farewell Boardwalk Bone for Tuna.
